FTOPS 5 Update B

FTOPS 5 Update B

As I write this, the players in the 6-handed NLHE event are going on break.

They've been at it 3 hours 15 minutes.

They are approaching the money.

Out of a field starting with over 2,000, they are down to 299.

234 will get paid.

The chip average is about 21,000.

The chip leader, d4donkey, has 96,000.

Scanning the leaderboard for familiar faces, I found two.

The number two player on the leaderboard is Michael123.

I've played with Michael and he's an excellent player.

He showed up at my table in a 6-handed tournament a few weeks ago and reminded me that we had a history.

I didn't recall it specifically, but here is how it went:

Michael123: Yeah, it was late in the tournament.

I reraised you with T-T and you raced me into the pot with A-2 and caught an ace.
Michael Craig: Sounds like me.

He has 64,000 chips and I'm no longer in the field, so he has an excellent chance.

The second player I noticed is my friend Ted, whose player name is Mr_Suited.

He started playing on Full Tilt very recently.

(I think he opened a Neteller account about 3 days before the feds swooped in.) He has finished in the money in exactly two tournaments since funding his account.

Both were the $30,000 Guarntee tourney, which is 6-handed.

In both instances, he made the final table.

He is 16th with 45,000 chips.

Andy Bloch has been dealt a lot of big cards, but almost never when he gets action.

He's got around 30,000.

Erick Lindgren is just before the average with 18,000.

As in previous events, Huck Seed has below the chip average, but is still around.

Lynette Chan has 14,000.

Gavin Smith is still alive with 7,000.
